Twitter has announced a new update on its platform: users can now buy and sell nonfungible tokens (NFTs) instantly through tweets in partnership with four additional marketplaces. The latest update, which is still in the beta stage of examination, presently functions with four marketplaces.
NFT Tweet Tiles, the name that is given to this integration, expresses the creativity of a nonfungible token in a specified forum within the tweet. It also consists of a regulator that enables clients to click through to a marketplace listing.
This new update, which is still in the beta stage of examination, currently works with marketplaces from four specific associates: multi-platform nonfungible token marketplace protocol Rarible, Solana-centric marketplace Magic Eden, sports-centric medium Jump.trade, and Flow Blockchain developer Dapper Labs.
The Tweet Tiles will enhance links to some particular NFT marketplaces. The novel characteristics enable the users to consist of a link to a nonfungible token on an external website. Furthermore, it extends to a full-size portrait of the NFT, and metadata together with a link to the location of its respective marketplace.
Among all these markets, Rarible is said to be as extremely influential with $432,000 worth of NFTs traded in the past week. All these marketplaces recognized the inclusion of the new feature, calling it an altogether different experience in nonfungible tokens.
Several months ago, Twitter examined the Tweet Tiles attribute with three newspaper agencies: Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and The Guardian. This feature was then leveraged to build on news articles, not NFT-related posts.
In general, these marketplaces are spread over many blockchain networks that consist of Flow, Ethereum, Tezos, Solana, and Polygon. One Twitter mouthpiece mentioned to Decrypt that the new feature is blockchain-agnostic. Thus, all the networks are backed if the links are through a collaborative or partnering marketplace.
After saying that, the feature is currently being reviewed by some chosen Twitter users on iOS and the web. These accounts will have an opportunity to witness the NFT Tweet tile integration in case they are a part of the test group. Atwitter Blue premium subscription is, nonetheless, not required to use the feature.
Originally, Twitter had also backed NFTs as verified profile pictures through its Twitter Blue subscription process in January, but now just supports Ethereum NFTs.
