You can now experience the fusion of heavy metal and the metaverse in Blast Valley, a distinct partnership between Nuclear Blast and The Sandbox.
The Sandbox is an Animoca Brands subsidiary. It has partnered with Nuclear Blast striving to bring the music and culture associated with heavy metal into the metaverse. Blast Valley is a majorly dedicated environment designed by heavy metal fans for heavy metal fans.
Notably, Blast Valley is expected to be a distinct addition to the metaverse, providing an immersive experience that captures the spirit of heavy metal. On the other hand, Nuclear Blast is a record label that has strengthened its position at the top of the global heavy metal scene. It will use its influence to promote and host multiple virtual events in The Sandbox.
A Heavy Metal Metaverse Thrill
The original quests in Blast Valley will feature players reclaiming the power of heavy metal music, incorporated into a volcano at the center of the valley. The aim is to unite all the creatures that live in the land in a band to perform on stage, providing the users with an engaging and highly interactive experience.
Set up in 1987 in Germany, Nuclear Blast Records operates as an independent record label that is celebrated for discovering and fostering multiple key figures in the space of modern and extreme metal, including Sepultura and Anthrax.
Label Director of Nuclear Blast Records, Jérome Riera, also commented on the new partnership:
“It was only natural to team up with The Sandbox to take things a step further by creating our own universe to welcome metal fans. The Sandbox teams have shown their unrivaled expertise in capturing the spirit of the label and the music, and developing incredible immersive experiences that we can’t wait to present to you.”
The Sandbox’s Impressive History Of High-Profile Partnerships
The Sandbox is not a stranger to high-profile partnerships. This platform has already partnered with more than 400 entities, including Ubisoft, Cut the Rope, Warner Music Group, The Rabbids, The Walking Dead, Invincible, The Smurfs, Tony Hawk, Gucci Vault, Adidas, Snoop Dogg, and Atari among others. The Sandbox team is pushed by a vision that empowers gamers to create their unique experiences, using distinct and familiar characters and realms.
