Who Is Steve Aoki?
Aoki is an American DJ, music programmer, record producer, and record executive. He has performed at many shows throughout the world and has worked with some of the largest artists in the world like Louis Tomlinson, Backstreet Boys, BTS, Will.i.am, and many more.
He has also released many Billboard-charting studio albums. Interestingly, Wonderland was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronica Album in 2013. He has had a majorly successful career since his start in 1996. Furthermore, he doesn’t look to be slowing down in any way any time soon.
Steve Aoki finds himself in a small group of big-time celebrities who are the most involved in nonfungible tokens. Maybe alongside those like Snoop Dogg, GaryVee, and Paris Hilton, he is already up there with being the most in touch with the NFT and crypto community on Twitter.
Aoki In The Metaverse
Steve Aoki is also a major fan of the metaverse in general. He performed a virtual concert as the special guest together with Masked Wolf and Tigerlily in Decentraland in January 2022.
Furthermore, Aoki owns his metaverse platform known as ‘The A0K1VERSE’. It is an exclusive membership community that gives perks to active members and collectors. It offers a multitude of real-world and digital rewards for the fans, including early access to his NFT releases and free Steve Aoki concert ticket.
Apart from that, private events, digital wearables, free merchandise, metaverse experiences, and exclusive access to apparel and collectible collaborations are available.
In the end, he sang his praises on The Sandbox in a recent interview. He said:
“(The Sandbox) is a platform for me to just go ham… go crazy with it. The Metaverse is your imagination untapped. For anyone that’s creative, this is your place to do some whacky, zany, fun stuff.”
