Several days ago, the Seekers sold out its collection of more than 47,000 Seeker NFTs. Over 6,000 people have become the holders of the exciting NFT project, a part of a bigger metaverse ecosystem.
Seekers are 3D-animated robot NFTs that are powered by the Ethereum blockchain. They are part of a bigger collective of NFT projects that aim to set up an open metaverse. In that context, their job is to power trade and communication across the open metaverse.
For clarification, Seekers are a part of the FLUF World ecosystem. Altered State Machine, FLUF World, and the Sylo Network teamed up for the NFT collection. The Seekers NFT mint went live on March 27, 2022, and sold out on the same day. Minters paid 0.10101 ETH unless they were already on the whitelist.
In that case, the price for a beacon nonfungible token was 0.09 ETH. To explain further, the beacon NFTs will become Seekers NFTs several weeks after the mint. The base price of the collection at the time of publication is 0.119 ETH.
Interestingly, there was a probable 50,000 beacon NFTs available at the mint. Nonetheless, simultaneously after the mint started, some of the “Seekers in the wild” started being captured. That is why the final collection-number comes in at 47,895, which means that 2,105 were captured.
Seekers NFTs are wholly metaverse-ready, which means that they can be used as PFPs and avatars. Owners can also customize the Seekers with unique attachments, backpacks, arms, accessories, propulsion systems. There are more than a billion possible combinations available.
In other words, every Seeker NFT is unique in its way. Moreover, Seekers NFT holders can participate in the creation of future bot NFTs. That is not the only utility that comes with the Seekers. These NFTs play an integral role in the Sylo network.
What Is Sylo And How Do Seekers Fit In?
Seekers NFTs are an integral factor in the Sylo network. They enable and support community-run communication in the open metaverse. In that context, Sylo sees it as an important aspect of setting up a decentralized metaverse.
The Sylo network is described as a decentralized protocol for communication. Currently, the network processes voice, text, video, payments, and several other application data on its network each day. As is the case with all blockchains, the Sylo Network is powered by an ecosystem of nodes. Notably, the community-operated computers are spread out across the world and mainly relay the data on the network.
Blockchains have to pay node operators for the services that they offer and Sylo is not an exception. In that context, node operators get rewards in the form of SYLO, which is the network’s native token.
That is where the Seeker NFTs come in. they are a digital representation of Sylo nodes. Hence, anyone that wants to run a Sylo node must own a Seeker NFT. With that in mind, owning a Seeker does not mean you need to run a node.
In general, the Seekers are a fun and distinct way of enabling people to contribute to holding up a blockchain. Proponents believe that we might see more decentralized networks following the same strategy in the future.
