British luxury automaker, Rolls-Royce Motor, has partnered with world-famous modern artist, Sacha Jafri to unveil six hand-painted cars along with their nonfungible tokens (NFTs). Titled ‘The Six Elements’, the NFT collection features six distinct Phantom Extended Series II cars. Furthermore, the paintings take some inspiration from Jafri’s acclaimed ‘Journey of Humanity’ painting.
Here is what to know about the NFTs from Rolls-Royce x Sacha Jafri:
The Rolls-Royce x Sacha Jafri Partnership
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Abu Dhabi and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Dubai have partnered with Sacha Jafri to create ‘The Six Elements’ Phantom. Notably, the one-of-one Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II motor cars comprise a unique, painted Sacha Jafri Gallery. Furthermore, every painting takes inspiration from one of the five elements: Fire, Earth, Wind, Water, and Air. In the meantime, Humanity is the sixth element.
Moreover, the Rolls-Royce x Sacha Jafri partnership wants to raise $1 million for charity. But, the team is yet to announce the charities that it wants to support. Rolls-Royce also noted that they are ready to support humanity-centric organizations, with a focus on health, sustainability, and education. Jafri said:
“The six Rolls-Royce Phantoms will embody the emotion of each elemental force. The artistic journey begins and ends with emotion and intention, fuelling my inspiration to create the colour palette of the ‘Six Elements’. Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, and Air are enhanced by the addition of a ‘new element’, Humanity – the very essence of life itself.”
What Is The “Rolls-Royce That Keeps On Giving” NFT Initiative?
Coupled with ‘The Six Elements’ Phantom launch, Rolls-Royce confirmed that it will also launch an NFT initiative. Titled “Rolls-Royce That Keeps on Giving”, this initiative includes six NFTs comprising flythrough animations. Every NFT is distinct and connected to each of the six Phantoms. With that said, the owners are free to sell their NFTs separately.
Interestingly, each time an NFT gets sold, Rolls-Royce will donate a 20% royalty to the chosen charity. True to this collection’s name, the idea is to enable charities to continue earning from the nonfungible tokens.
Furthermore, the automaker will embed these nonfungible tokens in the glove compartment of every Phantom. That way, the owners can view their NFTs while they are in their cars.
