Oasys, a top blockchain platform in blockchain gaming, announced a dynamic partnership to boost the interoperability of Web3 games developed and supported on its network. Its partnership with Toki and Datachain is the latest step in a series of high-profile partnerships focusing on growing its ecosystem.
Furthermore, this move aligns with its “Dragon Update” and acts as the first stage of Oasys’ three core pillars: ‘interoperability, ecosystem, and killer content’.
Boosting Interoperability With Datachain And TOKI
Oasys strives to harness interoperability to support unique blockchain networks within its ecosystem to help facilitate cross-chain transactions, developing a highly connected and functional gaming environment.
Datachain is famous for innovative blockchain research and development. It is introducing its Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) technology knowledge to the partnership. With many grants from the Interchain Foundation, Datachain gives expert knowledge in IBC with access to a network of more than 100 chains.
TOKI, which creates cross-chain bridges using IBC, will help Oasys enhance the protocol to boost the game user experience.
Director of Oasys, Daiki Moriyama, insists on the importance of distinct blockchain-enabled gaming experiences. He said:
“At Oasys, we passionately believe that the future of blockchain gaming hinges on providing unique experiences that are only possible through blockchain technology.”
In the official announcement, Daiki highlights the critical role of interoperability in Web3 gaming:
“One of the key elements to achieving this will be the interoperability of games – for example: giving players the ability to make single-click, cross-chain transactions across multiple networks. By collaborating with Datachain and TOKI and integrating IBC, the go-to standard for web3 interoperability, we will deliver for gamers globally.”
Leveraging The Power Of IBC
Amidst the harsh climate of the crypto market recently, the partnership highlights a pattern of Web3 gamers coming together to record some progress with a user-centric focus. Beyond the enhanced interoperability, Oasys acknowledges the importance of IBC’s permissionless infrastructure, supporting secure cross-chain transactions with built-in responsive features.
Oasys stands as a blockchain tailor-made for gaming, with its integration of an inter-blockchain messaging protocol that facilitates the seamless settlement of NFTs across various blockchain networks. This feature not only reduces friction but also elevates the overall gaming experience for users.
Additionally, the collaboration opens up the potential of applications on Oasys using stablecoins from different blockchains, thanks to the integration with Progmat Coin. Progmat is a digital asset network provider and a mutual partner of Datachain and TOKI.
Oasys has a scalable Layer 1 hub complemented by a dedicated Layer 2 that uses Ethereum’s advanced Layer 2 scaling technology. As a gaming-specific blockchain, they are supported by first-class gaming names such as Bandai Namco, Square Enix, SEGA, and Ubisoft. They play an integral role as network validators, which further solidifies Oasys’ position within the blockchain gaming industry.
