Moonbirds confirmed a new metaverse project at Consensus 2023

What Does The Moonbirds Metaverse Entail?

The parent firm of Moonbirds, PROOF, and Mona mentioned that they are ready to engage in the joint effort at the Consensus 2023 conference. In that context, the “Moonbirds Monaverse” will be designed as a place for community members to access various virtual experiences and socialize with each other.

Based on the official statement by the two firms, the primary aim is to bring people together for town halls, art reveals, and watch parties. By doing that, PROOF hopes to nurture and add value to its community of around 6,500 NFT holders.

The co-founder and CEO of PROOF, Kevin Rose, mentioned:

“We will continue to provide unique experiences aimed at combining immersive art and technology to our holders. The world Mona has created unlocks a new way for Moonbirds holders to hang out and enjoy digital art together.”

What Is New With Moonbirds?

Moonbirds project recently decided to shift its efforts to making art for the project’s “North Star”. In the process, PROOF told its holders that Moonbirds are now the “art collectors PFP”. Up to that point, the team confirmed the lineup of 22 artists for a new collection developed mainly to reward long-term holders.

This lineup includes Tiffatron, Summer Wagner, Beeple, 0xdbg, and Terrell Jones. Interestingly, holders ranked their top selections for artists and crossed their fingers hoping that they would get some work from their favorites. Sadly, PROOF’s awful year continued.

The Moonbirds Monaverse

Some of the people duplicate the most highly popular pieces, resulting in less supply going around for the other holders. Most long-term proponents of the project went on Twitter to express their frustrations. Some of these Twitter users decided to go as far as to criticize the project for disappointing the holders and publish their intentions to exit this ecosystem entirely.

Many experts and analysts now ask: Will the Moonbirds Monaverse assist in pushing the troubled project back on track? On its part, PROOF hopes that this development is a step in the right direction.
