Top Japanese directors, Katsuyuki Motohiro, Yukihiko Tsutsumi, and Yuichi Sato are all set to drop NFTs from their SUPER SAPIENSS entertainment DAO. The project strives to introduce a new era of entertainment in Japan. SUPER SAPIENSS is set to launch the nonfungible tokens (NFTs) on December 17. Here is what you need to know about the SUPER SAPIENSS project.
What Is SUPER SAPIENSS?
SUPER SAPIENSS is a distinct and exclusive entertainment project developed by Katsuyuki Motohiro, Yukihiko Tsutsumi, and Yuichi Sato. These three top directors have been at the forefront of the Japanese entertainment and film sector’s growth. Furthermore, producer Takeshi Moriya has joined this project as a board member to develop and visualize its original story.
In an interesting first for Japan, the four will jointly produce and direct the project together with their fans. To be sure, in the team’s own words, this is a “super independent project made with fans”. Being a creator-first project, SUPER SAPIENSS IP has many use cases including movie creation and webtoon comics. To make the project a reality, it will be co-created with the SUPER SAPIENSS entertainment DAO.
What Are SUPER SAPIENSS NFTs?
SUPER SAPIENSS NFTs are described as generative art NFTs based on the original character proposal by director Tsutsumi. Manga artist, Chobi created the artwork for both the NFTs and the SUPER SAPIENSS webtoon.
Interestingly, the NFT creatives focus mainly on Japanese culture, which is increasingly becoming popular around the world. This project will use the NFTs as a fundraising and community-creation tool.
For the holders, the NFTs offer a wide range of utilities. They include commercial rights over the nonfungible tokens, with the holders’ NFTs appearing in webtoons and/or live-action film productions. Moreover, holders get early alpha about the project, the right to suggest ESP ideas for the project, and a lot more.
These NFTs will drop in December.
When Is The NFT Sale?
SUPER SAPIENSS NFTs will have a pre-sale and a public sale, with just the allow-list members allowed to join the former. Up to 1,093 allow listed members can mint these NFTs from 00:00 EST to 23:30 EST on December 17 during the first pre-sale. At this point, 5,465 NFTs will be available, and each person will be given a maximum of five mints.
Next, the second pre-sale is scheduled for 00:00 EST on December 18 up to 00:00 EST on December 19. Any nonfungible tokens unsold in the previous sale will be available to mint during this sale. Eventually, the public sale will open at 22:00 EST on December 19, closing 24 hours later. Just 1,000 NFTs will be available for that process.
For clarity – the allowlist does not offer any guarantee of the right to purchase but enables the listed users to mint on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Since the allowlist drawing is still underway, it is a great opportunity for users to apply for a spot, you can go to the project’s website to apply before the deadline elapses at 10:00 AM EST on December 8.
