Interesting NFT Projects Launched This Week: Ethaliens, Cool Pets And KaraFuru

Many drops are happening in the nonfungible token (NFT) world. It is easy for investors to find something to invest in as many floats and drops come up. But, here are some of the most interesting projects that many might have missed.

With the crypto prices struggling to recover from a recent drop, NFTs seem to be on a discount that is making it quite challenging for the collectors to resist a good sale. Notable projects like World of Women have already recorded their biggest sale at 260 Ether, which translates to $627,755 at current value.

On the contrary, the total volume sales recorded by Cool Cats dropped by around 30% in the past seven days, but, some of the newly released projects like Azuki gained more than 122%, as highlighted by OpenSea data.

While the blue chips are gaining new traction, fresh releases are now making moves and even raising excitement among the NFT investors. Here are some of the NFT projects launched this week that might be worth keeping an eye on.

Cool Pets

The price of Cool Cats may have cooled down since its partnering project, Cool Pets was released on January 28. Cool Cats has already amassed more than 100,000 followers on Twitter. Today, Cool Pets appears to be a major gateway into the community of the many priced out of the Cool Cats collections. But, the Cool Pets mint was set at 0.5 Ether.

All Cool Pet owners can interact with their elemental pets, which is similar to Tamagotchi Japanese digital pets, Cool Pets will integrate gamification elements to the experience, also to have the ability to set off on quests with the chance of earning rewards. This makes it another “play to earn” (P2E) game.

Coming after a similar model to Axie Infinity’s scholarship program, Cool Cat owners can rent out their Cool Cats to non-Cool Cat owners for a small percentage of the earned rewards.

Cool Pets are powered by the Polygon Network and its native GOLD token will be used to support the Cool Pets ecosystem. Nevertheless, Cool Pets will have an Ether-based pairing token known as MILK that will help facilitate transactions for big-ticket items like Cool Cats and Cool Pets. Notably, MILK will also be used as a utility token for its fellow NFT project, dubbed The Littles, and its general ecosystem.

Ethalien VOX

Ethalien VOX is the 3D pixelated version of the Ethalien genesis collection that has a supply of 7,500. For the next five years, every Ethalien will generate 5 STAR tokens daily with a total supply of 69,420,000. The collectors that held an Ethalien before January 20, 2022, are assured of a whitelist spot for the presale of Ethalien VOX that is scheduled for January 28, 2022.

After the pre-sale, the public mint will launch with a minting price of 0.055 Ether that over half of Ethalien’s current 0.09 Ether cost, which means that the upcoming launch is quite reasonable.

Ethalien is unique since its collectors earn STAR tokens beyond holding a genesis NFT. The holders earn Ethalien through its ‘Starcade’ enabling players that hold STAR to earn more tokens and maybe breed Baby Ethaliens.

This project incentivizes users to acquire more Ethaliens since a particular amount of ‘stardust’ is given subject to the number of Ethaliens owned. Stardust is a casino-chip-like token that the holders can gamble within its ‘Ethercasino’ or use to shop for other NFTs and merchandise.

KaraFuru NFT

KaraFuru was one of the much expected and hyped drops. Its Twitter account amassed more than 50,000 followers in eight days. Museum of Toys and digital artists WD.Willy, the project creators, are now winning the hearts and potential funding of many collectors.

Launched in 2019, The Museum of Toys became the first and biggest museum of toys in Indonesia. The NFT collectors are attracted to the vivid colors of the art and based on the excitement in social media, it seems that nonfungible token collectors are on the edge of their seats currently.

In the last week, the developers have cryptically advised followers to “GET READY!,” saying that it will prove to be the “most colorful week of our lives,” leaving the hopeful holders wondering how to appear on the whitelist.

Particularly, nearly 60,000 Discord members are aiming to snag a spot on the whitelist. Though some of the communities like CyberKongz were offered whitelist spots, the other possible buyers who wish to get a spot have to be more active in engaging in the KaraFuru community and even though the strategy may not be genuine, it is highly competitive.

With many NFT projects on the way, a majority are building and integrating their entry point with community engagement as the primary focus for whitelisting. Rumor has it that the most active Discord members will take priority for a whitelist spot, but it is not guaranteed.
