Hyundai, the South Korean automobile manufacturer said on April 18 that it has now partnered with the Meta Kongz NFTs project to develop a limited collection of 30 NFTs that will launch sometime in May.
The automobile firm also set up a new Twitter handle @Hyundai_NFT to cater to all its NFT-related communications. In that context, it posted a video featuring an animated Meta Kong that is riding through space in a 1975 Hyundai PONY.

Included in the official announcement was a teaser for a further “Shooting Star NFT” that came with a cryptic explanation that it is a viable “ticket to a whole new world” and may result in ‘new NFTs’. Hyundai also gave several cryptic clues to a possible Metaverse in line with its earlier concept for robots to help in bridging the real and virtual worlds to boost mobility.
In January 2022, Hyundai published its “Metamobility” concept, which is a vision for robotics to become a medium between the real world and the metaverse so that all the changes that the users make in the metaverse are reflected in reality, which:
“Allows people to overcome the physical limitations of movement in time and space.”
As part of the concept vision, Hyundai said:
“With the metaverse set to become a daily space for people in the future, the company expects the possible emergence of a new type of metaverse platform in which the distinction from reality could disappear, breaking away from the concept of VR as the world knows it today.”
Hyundai has continued with its concept efforts and hinted at a possible “Hyundai Metamobility universe” that is a metaverse with the issuance of different NFTs as mobility vehicles.
Activision Blizzard Looks Into NFTs And Play-to-Earn
Recently, Activision Blizzard sent out a survey to the gamers who participate in its games, asking them to share their interest level in NFTs, together with their opinions on metaverse and play-to-earn games.
One Twitter user, @OTadaka, shared a screenshot of the survey that was done by market research company YouGov which tried to gauge interest in various categories of “future gaming trends.”
So it seems Blizzard/Activision is trying to see if players are interested in crypto and n.f*t in games. I got a survey from them and it is on the survey. I said very disinterested to them. pic.twitter.com/dIT4bVokDK

In January, Microsoft purchased Activision Blizzard for $69 billion, saying at the time that the acquisition of the company would “provide building blocks for the Metaverse.” Microsoft chairman and CEO Satya Nadella also stated that gaming will play an integral role in the development of the metaverse platforms.
HashCash To Create Health Data NFTs
HashCash Consultants, a blockchain services firm, announced on April 16th that it planned to partner with an anonymous UK-based firm to develop NFTs that include information about a person’s health.
The companies will work mostly with volunteers who will offer their health data, intending for it to be made into a nonfungible token so that it can then be shared with healthcare service providers in a move the firm insists can be more readily tracked and monetized by the owner.
This release offered an example of how such an NFT could be traced and monetized with that of a DNA testing kit firm selling its user data to a research company. Raj Chowdhury, the founder and CEO of HashCash highlighted:
“If your genetic data were turned into NFTs, the information is then attached with an inherent feature to be tracked, this would enable you to monitor where your data ends up and track the people who hold the NFT and also figure out if it is being used without permission.”
Other NFT News
Alabama and Texas state securities watchdogs have now sent emergency to cease and desist orders to Sand Vegas Casino Club for offering more than 11,000 NFTs illegally to acquire resources for its metaverse-based casinos.
The parent firm of The Sandbox metaverse, Animoca Brands, has so far added two video game publishers to its repertoire, boosting its role-playing and motorsport blockchain games.
In the meantime, Louis Vuitton is continuing to commit to its Web3 plans with the release of new NFTs to act as part of its “Louis: The Game” mobile game. The fashion giant added some new levels and rewards to its application that randomly rewards players with 10 new ‘profile picture’ type tokens.
