Every drop will celebrate the historic and laudable achievements of the top athletes and include rare nonfungible tokens. Users can unlock special memorabilia and experiences using these rare NFTs.
NFTs And The Sporting World
Amino’s initiative is another case of the growing trend of partnerships between the sporting world and the crypto industry. This also sees blockchain tech continue making considerable inroads into various sectors, including entertainment, mainstream finance, sports, fashion, and entertainment. Many proponents of these different industries are also coming on board and leveraging the exploding popularity of decentralized digital assets.
Examples of past NFT and professional sports joint ventures include Dapper Labs, which facilitates NBA’s Top Shot NFT initiative. Moreover, the firm behind Flow Blockchain has also struck various deals with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) to unleash an NFT marketplace for the combat sports firm.
The other sporting endeavors that have tapped into blockchain-centric causes are professional golf, Formula 1, American Football, professional hockey, and Association football. For example, English Premier League giant Liverpool FC strengthened its ties with French blockchain-based sports startup Sorare late last week.
In the meantime, the popular Italian Serie A club AC Milan also became the first association football club to work with MonkeyLeague on NFT gaming.
